The front half of Royal is an amazing spot for a more casual Japanese Izakaya style dinner (with excellent sake and cocktails), but there is an omakase counter in the rear of the restaurant where chef Jesse Ito serves the best omakase in Philly. It’s expensive but so, so special if you can secure a reservation.
