One of the most special dining experiences in Copenhagen. Bobe is run by revered Danish chef Bo Bech (of Geist fame) and perfectly executes upscale but laid-back dining—think Danish minimalist design, cozy touches including an open fire, and an a la carte menu. The new spot prioritizes “green food”—meaning 70% of the menu is focused on vegetable-based dishes, and meats and fish are treated as sides. One thing not to miss: the caramelized bread with black cardamom ice cream—an update on one of the most popular desserts at Geist.
An all-time favorite restaurant for me after attending on the second night it was open and everything was phenomenal. This is the follow up to Geist (now closed) from Danish chef Bo Bech and it perfects simple, flavorful cuisine in a cozy setting. Nothing fussy, just excellent food and atmosphere. Particularly loved the scalllop with miso and buttermilk and the spinach salad with dill, jalapeño, asparagus, walnuts and Parmesan. And the caramelized bread for dessert !!!!
