I love this museum. Top two floors occupy the former house of painter Nikos Hadjikyriakos- Gkikas kept in tact. Some beautiful design details to soak in. The rest is a vast collection showcasing the overall Greek intellectual and artistic output in the 20th century, as expressed in different forms of art and thought: paintings, sculptures, engravings, music, theatre, cinema, photography, architecture, poetry, criticism… the collection was organised by Gkikas himself. This is an Annex of the Benaki Museum that’s less known and therefore way quieter.
