1. Sharing of your information

We will not sell, rent or share your personal information to anyone outside of AmiGo, unless we are required to by law.

Instances where we are required to share your information
AmiGo will disclose your information when required to do so by law or subpoena, or if we reasonably believe that such actions are necessary to (a) comply with the law and reasonable requests of law enforcement (b) enforce our Terms of Use or to protect the security of our Site or Storage Services (c) protect the personal safety or rights of AmiGo or our Users.

How AmiGo uses user information
AmiGo may use personal information (such as email, hometown, age, etc) requested during the signup process of the App, among other ways, to facilitate the creation of and secure a user account and to identify users in its system, to provide improved administration of the App, to improve the quality and experience of the App, and to send emails including welcome and administrative emails. In order to help you catalog your past trip experiences on the App, AmiGo may ask for access to your iphone photos. AmiGo will also ask you to turn on your location services to help you better remember the places you visit while traveling. For better access to recommendations you care about (i.e. from your existing social networks), AmiGo may request access to your contacts from your mobile phone and Facebook account. Whatever information you decide to provide to AmiGo will absolutely not be sold, rented or shared to anyone outside of AmiGo.

Ads on AmiGo
In the event and geographies where AmiGo decides to run ads, an advertiser may ask AmiGo to show an ad to a certain audience of Users (e.g. based on demographics, location of interest, etc…). In those situations, AmiGo determines the audience and serves the ad to that audience. AmiGo will only share anonymous, aggregated data to the advertiser. If you respond to such an ad, the advertiser may conclude that you fit the audience they are trying to reach. Any action you take once you leave AmiGo on the advertiser’s site is subject to the privacy policy of the advertiser.

Keeping your information safe
AmiGo cares about the security of your information and uses commercially reasonable safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of all information collected through the site. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password, and for controlling access to any communication to and from AmiGo.

2. Children’s privacy

AmiGo does not knowingly allow anyone under the age of 13 to register as a User of the Site. We do not knowingly collect or solicit information from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information about an individual under the age of 13, without parental consent verification, we will take steps to delete that information as quickly as possible.
